A Warm Fuzzy Feeling For Coldstream Hills As Sponsorship Partner At The 2008 Melbourne Food And Wine Festival

1/03/2008

Coldstream Hills enjoyed the sixteenth annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival a little more than most as one of the official wine sponsors for the event, which was held in February and March.

Festival participants were able to enjoy Coldstream Hills wines at several events including the Take a Leap on the Wild Side dinner, featuring Coldstream Hills Winemaker Andrew Fleming, who hosted Matt Lane, Director of Wine Education for Stags' Leap Winery in the Napa Valley. The two hosted an intimate dinner offering a rare opportunity to taste and discuss the variations and similarities between the two regions and these celebrated vineyards.

The Stags' Leap wines were especially imported to Australia for this event and were accompanied by food prepared by Lamaro's Michael Lambie and Todd Adams, whose dishes were designed to balance the complex flavours of these amazing wines.

Festival participants could also enjoy a glass of Coldstream Hills at The Age Good Food Guide Restaurant Express, where several of Victoria's best restaurants offered an express lunch including wine for just $30!

Coldstream Hills were also present along with 65 other Victorian wineries at Cellar Door at Southgate, showing their new release wines.

A definite highlight for Coldstream Hills was The Vertical Lunch, which offered wine lovers a rare opportunity to lunch amongst the vertical slopes of the Amphitheatre vineyard at the winerys Yarra Valley vineyard. The acclaimed Coldstream Hills wines, including the Reserve Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet were enjoyed, as well as an exclusive tasting of the signature Amphitheatre Pinot Noir, which were all served with a degustation lunch hosted by winemaker Andrew Fleming.
